Canada geese make Jurupa Valley a winter tourist stop

Everyone loves Southern California in January -even the Canada geese.

A flock of the migratory birds has temporarily made a field alongside the 15 Freeway near Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road in Jurupa Valley their winter vacation stop.

Every year after the rest of the country watches the beautiful flower-covered floats parade down the street on a warm and sunny day against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, they dream of booking a flight to this winter paradise. For some, like these geese, choosing their arrival and departure date and time is easier than for others.
